Income Assistance
The Community Legal Clinic of York Region provides services to applicants and recipients of OW and ODSP (Ontario Disability Support Program). We can advise you of your rights and help you resolve issues with your benefits. In some cases, we can represent you on an appeal to the Social Benefits Tribunal.
Some Examples of social assistance issues we may help with:
- Your application for benefits was denied
- Your benefits were suspended or cancelled
- You were charged an overpayment with which you disagree
Other Income Assistance:
The Community Legal Clinic of York Region can also help with other income assistance matters including denials, cancellations, and overpayments for programs such as:
- Canada Pension Disability
- Old Age Security
- Disability Tax Credit & RDSP (Registered Disability Savings Plan)
- Canada Child Benefits
- Old Age Security and Guaranteed Income Supplement
